Jonnie has over 30 years experience in planning and creating advertising, design, brand and media strategy. He is a firm believer in “the big idea” and the integration of it through campaign marketing.
Jonnie started his career in London with Bozell and WCRS before moving to Saatchi’s regional network, Hall Harrison Cowley (where he originally teamed up with Stuff’s Creative Director Richard Spruce) and then to Golley Slater and Ontrac – an integrated agency in Bristol and Cardiff – before ultimately becoming CEO.
He was then delighted to team up again with Richard at Stuff where, as Managing Director, he looks after strategy and client services.
Jonnie has worked across a wide variety of sectors including government, utilities, food, tourism, pet, media, retail, education and charities.
Client experience includes COI, Regular and Territorial Army, The Electricity Privatisation, Welsh Government, GCHQ, Serco, AB Vista, Johnnie Walker (United Distillers), Guild of Fine Food, CPC Foods, Kraft Jacobs Suchard, Royal Canin (Mars), Truespeed, Avonline, Atradius, John Lewis, Global Media (GWR), Destination Bristol, TV Licensing, The RAC, Bristol Rugby, Husqvarna, Roland, St Peter’s Hospice, Above and Beyond Charity (NHS) and many others.
Jonnie is a past Board Director at Bristol Media, a past Board Member and Ambassador for The Creative Industries at The Chartered Institute of Marketing South West and a member of the national planners organisation APG (Account Planning Group). He splits his time between Bristol and Cornwall.
