Kenro

Focusing on the brand

Kenro is a leading distributor of digital photographic and video accessories for the professional and amateur market. Since forming in 1973, they have seen massive changes during their 50 years of trading. These changes eventually led to the company phasing out its manufacturing operations and reconfiguring its operations, products and distribution so as to reflect the ongoing requirements of the industry it operates in.

This evolution meant they needed to revisit what the brand stood for and how they could keep up to date with consumer needs. As we already worked with Kenro across specialist trade press ads and other creative requirements, we were perfectly placed to undertake this vital brand development project.

We kicked off with a series of workshops to help them understand the current strengths and weaknesses of the business, the new environment they were dealing with and how this tied in with their vision and mission. This process revealed the importance of their heritage and expertise and how they could use this to underpin a new brand positioning. The creative development phase began with an update to the logo and the introduction of a strapline to help reinforce their new proposition.

This new visual identity was then brought to life across advertising, brochures, packaging and exhibition materials. This coincided with a digital marketing and social media campaign to push customers towards a newly updated website.

Kenro continues to go from strength to strength with the introduction of their own branded range of hardware and the launch of a sister brand, Kusso, to take them into the homeware, decorations and accessories sector.
